HARDY ORCHID SOCIETY

The Hardy Orchid Society is an organisation that was formed to promote the study of the resident British and European orchid flora. It also covers many aspects of orchid biology and systematics, including cultivation, propagation and conservation.  The society also runs outdoor field excursions and promotes photography through its competitions.

The society produces a quarterly journal, which covers a wide range of orchid topics including, field meetings, accounts of European trips and taxonomic and scientific changes to British and European genera. It also publishes articles submitted by members on orchid travel abroad and occasionally from other countries outside Europe.

I have been a member of the society for many years and have also a contributor to the journal. A sample copy is available here to look at. For further information, visit the Hardy Orchid Societies website.
