During the latter part of last year, I have been testing and reviewing some of the Novoflex photographic equipment that I have integrated into my current macro photography workflow.
Novoflex is a long-established company with a reputation in the photographic world of innovation, precision and quality, their motto being 'PRECISION FOR PROFESSIONALS'. Their products are sold and used by photographers and professionals worldwide. The company has, over the years, been synonymous with the design and fabrication of many specialised pieces of equipment and accessories used in the photographic industry.
Macro photography is one area where the company has unrivalled experience. They have developed many unique products, which have been instrumental in helping to overcome the many challenges photographers face in this particular genera.
As many of you know through my publications, I have been interested in developing my own bits of equipment to overcome some of the challenges macro photographers face in the field. I have a particular interest in the development of any piece of equipment that I feel makes the process more straightforward. I find many of the products from Novoflex well-engineered and cleverly thought out.
Over the coming months, I will post any reviews or observations on the equipment I have in this section. I also want to make it clear, that I have not been paid, or commissioned by Novoflex to write these reviews; these are based on my own experience of using the equipment frequently. I think being able to use and test the product over some time is by far the best approach in my opinion. I think desk-based evaluations are only useful to a point. Nothing beats first-hand knowledge of how a product performs in the field.
